FIRST EVER GLOBAL KIDS FASHION WEEK IS ANNOUNCED

AlexandAlexa, the global online style destination for kids is delighted to announce the first ever Global Kids’ Fashion Week (GKFW) launching in London this spring. The event will run for two days from 19th – 20th March 2013 and will take place at the Freemason’s Hall, Holborn, London. The schedule includes two main shows – an exclusive media event showcasing the latest AW13 trends from leading labels worldwide on Tuesday 19th March; and a public show with SS13 season looks from the AlexandAlexa brand portfolio on Wednesday 20th March. Proceeds from all ticket sales for the public fashion show will be donated to Kids Company, the charity partner for GKFW. GKFW will cast a spotlight on premium kids’ fashion, from both established designers and emerging names. Designers showing include: • Luxury brands: Paul Smith Junior, Junior Gaultier, Chloe, Little Marc Jacobs, I Pinco Pallino, Suzanne Ermann, Anne Kurris, Supertrash • Premium casual brands: Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel, Scotch Shrunk, Scotch R'Belle, Wildfox, • Emerging/independent brands: Rachel Riley, Finger in the Nose, Munster Kids * more to be confirmed in early February The event will feature runway shows and performances as well as a mix of playful activities for children and parents in collaboration with event partner the V&A Museum of Childhood. After the show, refreshments will be served along with entertainment from supporting brands such as child-friendly nail varnish company Little Bu, a bloggers lounge and sponsored photobooth. Chloe Wrapped Strap Boot

I've got a severe soft spot for tall brown high heeled boots. Brown just seems to match with anything that you wear and adds softness and warmth when compared to black boots. Chloe's Wrapped Strap Boot ($1195) is definitely making my list of 'Desired Fall Purchases'.

Belts are minimally wrapped around the shaft against warm caramel colored leather and perfectly accented with a rusty orange leather strap at the top. The toe is a rounded square, allowing for some comfort, but with a 4 1/2" heel, this may not be the best for walking the streets all day. And unfortunately, there is no zipper (women need zippers for tall boots!) so these boots will be easier to put on for those with slender legs.

Chloe Punto Milano Pants

Chole's Punto Milano Pants unexpectedly infuse the casualness of sweatpants with trousers. While that description sounds pretty unflattering, creative designer Hannah MacGibbon, actually translates this look quite well into a wearable ensemble. Granted, it seems wearable for someone who is tall and pretty slim, but nonetheless, it is wearable.

The Punto Milano Pants ($1495) are made from a cashmere/camel/alpaca mix and features a ribbed high waist, harem style legs with ribbed banded cuffs. They look best with its matching jacket and then paired with a pale colored blouse, preferably something silky, as shown above. I love the contrast between a dressy material like silk against a casually styled suit. The whole outfit has a definite 70's chic vibe to it that celebrates a woman's seductiveness without putting her body on full display.
